Pink Zsolnay Exhibition
Pink household wares were the first mass-produced items to replace handmade crockery, items that were often used by the middle class in the kitchen, by the sink, and on the table. The color was introduced by the experiments of Vilmos Zsolnay in the 1870s, and the pink palette became a kind of fashion color and a trademark of the Pitch factory; A hundred years later, Barnabas Winkler noticed a jug of pink wine in a family heirloom that had collected roses for decades, and in 2010 handed over his collection to Peach; Today, the permanent exhibition displays 1,200 pink pieces from the early period of the manufactory, the result of a special experiment carried out by Vilmos Zsolnay.
