Description of the place
Bom Phet or Diamond Fortress was one of the sixteen fortresses along the city walls of Ayutthaya. It is located in the southeast of the city, at the confluence of the Bac Sak River and the Chao Phraya River in Bang Kai District and on the eastern bank of the Nai Kai Canal. This castle was used to protect the harbour, but today it is a public park ideal for lounging on the green grass and taking nice strolls by the river.
