Pont du Gard
The Pont du Gard is a Roman monument built in the middle of the 1st century AD. It is the main structure in the 50 km long aqueduct that supplied water to the city of Nîmes formerly known as Nemossus. It was built in three levels of 50 meters in height, allowing the water to flow through the Gardon River ; Tourists visit it to walk and enjoy the beautiful scenery surrounding it and to take distinctive memorial photos. There are also many restaurants near it to rest and eat delicious food.
