Punta Rio Claro National Wildlife Refuge

The Punta Rio Claro National Wildlife Refuge was established with the goal of preserving the rainforest and coastal areas of the Drake Bay region of the Osa Peninsula on the Pacific coast, as well as protecting endangered species and animals such as the scarlet macaw, squirrel monkey, tapir, jaguar and other mammals, birds and marine life.
