Qasr AlMushatta

Qasr Al-Mushatta, the largest and most majestic of the Umayyad palaces in Jordan, is located 30 kilometers south of the capital, Amman, and north of the northern runway of Queen Alia International Airport, and is easily accessible via an 11-kilometer drive. It is a unique architectural masterpiece, extending over a large area and includes a large group of columns, capitals, column bases, half-arches and scattered carved stones, which are believed to be the oldest of their kind in the country.
