Description of the place
The Queen Santa Isabel Bridge is a suspension and cable-stayed bridge with a semi-fan system, completed in 2003 and opened in 2004. It crosses the Mondego River and allows faster access to the south of Coimbra, namely to the Polo II section of the University of Coimbra. This bridge provides the opportunity to enjoy stunning views of the city of Coimbra, the Mondego River and the various attractions distributed on its sides.
