Description of the place
Located on Devil's Peak in Cape Town, South Africa, the Rhodes Memorial is a memorial to politician Cecil John Rhodes. Where the memorial was designed by the famous architect Herbert Baker, the memorial consists of a huge staircase with 49 steps, where each step is for each year of the life of Rhodes, and this staircase leads to a semi-circular balcony to a rectangular U-shaped monument consisting of many columns.
