Description of the place
The Roman aqueduct of the Morea is one of the most important architectural achievements of the Roman period, which still exists today, since it was built in the second or third century AD in order to supply the region with the water it needed. Today, the canal has become an important tourist attraction on the island of Lesbos, where tourists come to explore this site and get to know closely the effects of the Roman civilization.
