The Museum of the Cave of the German Commander Erwin Rommel, also known as the Desert Fox, is one of the most important archaeological monuments in the city of Marsa Matruh. The cave is a natural cavity in the belly of the mountain. The Romans used it in the past to store grain. This cave is presented to a museum that includes the belongings of this leader, historical maps, weapons from World War II, and others.
