Its historical origins date back to 1849, until it was destroyed in a fire in 1933, but it was rebuilt with a new, contemporary design for its historical and cultural importance. The Philharmonic Hall currently presents approximately 250 events each year, including about 70 concerts, and the hall sells more than 250,000 tickets annually. Concerts vary throughout the year, with rock, jazz and classical music.
