Description of the place
The Royal Palace shines with gold and is one of the most magnificent architectural achievements in Phnom Penh. It is home to His Majesty King Norodom Sihanouk, which was built in 1866 in the old town. This site was chosen for its great geographical importance. To the left of the main entrance, it includes a 59-meter-high tower with a roof decorated with golden tiles. This building is used for high official ceremonies, coronations, and festivals involving foreign dignitaries and government officials.
