Royal Palace of La Almudaina
Before the city palace was transformed in the thirteenth century to become a residence for the Spanish kings, it was originally an Islamic castle. It is also said that this palace was originally a castle built by the Romans in 123 BC, and thus a tour of the city palace will take you back to a number of time periods at the same time. As soon as you cross the entrance to the palace, you will reach the King's Courtyard or the Courtyard of Honor, which is where you will find St. Anna's Church, which dates back to the beginning of the fourteenth century.
