Saigon Zoo And Botanical Garden

The Saigon Zoo and Botanical Garden was established more than 100 years ago, and it is listed as one of the oldest zoos in the world. It was opened by the French botanist Jean-Baptiste Louis Pierre in 1865, and there are currently more than 550 animals displayed in Zoo and more than 1,830 trees and 260 species of plants in the Botanical Garden, some of which are more than 100 years old. There are a number of different sections worth exploring in this park, including an animal conservation area, an orchid garden, a plant conservation center, an amusement area for children, and a group of lakes filled with tropical fish, as well as a memorial dedicated to the Vietnamese killed in the First World War .
