Sakhir Palace

Sakhir Palace is considered one of the most prominent historical landmarks in the city of Bahrain. The palace is located in the Sakhir desert area, to the northeast of the village of Zallaq. Its construction dates back to 1901 AD and was the residence of the ruler of Bahrain, Sheikh Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. The palace has stunning architecture in the traditional Islamic style adopted in the Middle East, with its bright white walls, high towers, and prominent arches. Many important events and receptions in Bahrain are held in the palace today.
