Samadhi Buddha Statue

This statue is one of the most famous ancient statues in the city, which is located in Mahamifnawa Park in the city of Anuradhapura. The statue takes the form of a seated Buddha in a meditation position. The statue is 2.13 meters tall and carved from dolomite marble. The statue dates back to about the fourth to sixth centuries and is considered one of the best Buddha statues in Sri Lanka. Visitors must remove their shoes if they want to approach the statue in the middle of the picturesque garden. They can also take many memorial photos of this place and the statue.
