Description of the place
The Serranus Towers, or what is known as the Serranus Gate, are located in the old town of Valencia, and it is one of the twelve gates that formed part of the old city wall that was built in the Valencian Gothic style at the end of the fourteenth century. These towers are famous for their beautiful views of the city and its river. Built to defend the city, it was used as a prison for the nobility between 1586 and 1887.
