The original Sherlock Holmes house has been reenacted in the canton of Bern in Switzerland, in order to allow the general public to explore the place that inspired the famous detective to solve the most difficult mysteries. The museum consists of four floors in the Georgian style and dates back to 1815. It opened in 1990 and now attracts thousands of visitors from all over the world who are eager to visit the home of their most famous literary hero.
