Description of the place
One of the most important Hindu temples located in the northeastern side of Padangbai Bay in eastern Bali, the 11th-century Silukti Temple is a place rich in cultural traditions and dedicated to the spiritual leader Mpu Kuturan who was responsible for introducing the caste system in Bali. It is also a popular destination for worshipers. Due to its proximity to the sea, many non-Hindus visit it to enjoy the picturesque coastal scenery.
