Description of the place
The Silk Market, which is located in front of the Central Market and the Temple of Santos Ioannis, is one of the most famous archaeological attractions in the beautiful city of Valencia. It is famous for its magnificent Gothic-style design that reflects the city’s medieval riches with stunning stonework and elaborate carvings. It was declared a National Historical and Artistic Monument in 1931. It was also listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 1996.
