Description of the place
Sri Maha Maryam is a nineteenth-century Hindu temple that is considered the oldest in Kuala Lumpur. Since its inception, it has been an important place of worship for early Indian immigrants. It is now an important cultural and national heritage and a popular tourist and religious destination. It was built in 1873 by K. K. Thamboosamy Pillai, but opened its doors to the public in the 1920s, has many intricate architectural features that attract the attention of photography enthusiasts.
