The New Saint John Monastery was built in the sixteenth century AD, and it is one of the 8 buildings belonging to the UNESCO World Heritage Site in the region, and it was listed as a historical monument by the country’s Ministry of Culture and Religious Affairs, due to its wall paintings depicting scenes from the Old and New Testaments. And sacred relics, in addition to the presence of a distinctive bell tower and an impressive mosaic ceiling.
