St. Nicholas Church

This church was built in the Mediterranean region of Turkey to honor Saint Nicholas and contain his tomb in the year 520 AD on the foundations of the ancient Christian church in which Saint Nicholas was a bishop, part of the ancient city of Myra; It is an ancient Lycian settlement, and is considered the best example of ecclesiastical architecture in the middle Byzantine period with its interesting architectural style and decoration.
