St. Nicolas Church

The Church of St. Nicholas is one of the oldest churches in the city of Batumi, and one of the most beautiful architectural and historical monuments in it. It was built during the Ottoman period (1865-1871) by the local Greeks, who later made it the center of their life in the city. On its western wall there is a memorial stone inscribed in Greek “St. Nicholas Greek Church. Construction Period 1865-1871”.
