Terrace of the Elephants
The Terrace of the Elephants is a ruined temple complex in Cambodia dating back to the end of the twelfth century. It is part of the historic walled city of Angkor Thom, and King Jayavarman VII of Angkor used it as a platform to watch his victorious returning army, and it was linked to the Vimianakas Palace, of which only a number remain. Few monuments, and it was named by this name because of the elephant carvings on its eastern face.
