The ancient city of Syedra
An ancient port city, located on the southern coast of modern Turkey, dating back to the seventh century BC. Among the most important buildings preserved in Sidra are the impressive baths, a gymnasium, a colonnaded street, five water tanks, an ancient temple, a Byzantine church, and an olive oil workshop. Unfortunately, nothing remains of the ancient theater, but still Traces of houses and workshops dating back to the Roman era are present. There is also an interesting cave, where converts to Christianity were baptized in the early times of Christianity, which is decorated with frescoes, the remains of which can be seen on the walls.
