Description of the place
The Big Fish is a ceramic mosaic sculpture also known as the "Salmon of Knowledge" located on the banks of the River Lagan in Donegal Quay in Belfast. It was erected in 1999 by the famous Irish artist John Kindness to celebrate the return of the fish to the River Lagan. With pictures and texts related to the history of the city, it is ten meters long.
