Description of the place
The Valley of the Martyrs, which is located near the El Escorial Monastery, is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Madrid. It is a monument built by Spanish General Francisco Franco to honor the dead of the Spanish Civil War. It includes a beautiful Catholic church, and is famous for its amazing architecture topped with a huge cross. Do not forget to take the most beautiful souvenir photos when visiting.
