Trabzon Museum

This museum is considered one of the most prominent landmarks in Trabzon and in all of Turkey. It was opened to the public on April 22, 2001 as the Trabzon Museum, and a total of 3,561 items were found in the museum's listing. The building has three levels plus a basement. The lower floor includes archaeological works, while the first floor is the ethnographic collections section. On the ground floor, items belonging to the architecture and history of the ancient palace are displayed and the walls of all rooms are decorated with Baroque-style carvings.
