Tree of Life

The Tree of Life is considered one of the most prominent tourist attractions in Bahrain. It is a perennial tree of the genus Al Ghaf Al Ramadi located in the Bahrain desert between Riffa and Al Awali near Jabal Dukhan. It is estimated to be about 400 years old and 9.75 m tall. The importance of the tree is due to the fact that it lived for many years in an arid desert, and many studies conducted by specialists indicate that the tree’s longevity without water is very strange, and the number of tourists who flock to see the tree is estimated at about 50,000 visitors a year.
