Turtle Conservation And Education Center

The Turtle Conservation Education Center opened in 2006 and covers an area of 24 hectares that allows turtles of all kinds to move freely. It represents one of the largest turtle conservation efforts in Bali, and aims to disseminate information and education on the consumption of turtle meat and eggs that are still used in some religious rituals in Bali. And put a permanent end to the turtle trade, and control their sizes and numbers, as well as provide job opportunities for the local people in Serangan.
