Tuscan Archipelago National Park
Created in 1996, the Tuscan Archipelago National Park covers an area of 79,160 hectares and is located between the provinces of Livorno and Grosseto in the Tuscany region. The park enjoys a unique combination of land and water, as land covers an area of only 22% of the park, while water covers an area of 78%, because the park is composed of small sprawling islands. It is a naturally diverse garden, in which visitors will find different types of trees and plants typical of Tuscany. It is also considered a biologically diverse area where many protected bird species such as the seagull live. There are many paths in the park that suit all groups and tastes, as well as paths for bicycles.
