Unknown Soldier Memorial

The Monument to the Unknown Soldier in Nasr City is a pyramid-shaped monument located in Cairo, Egypt. The statue was designed by the Egyptian artist Sami Rafi and built at the request of the late Egyptian President Anwar Sadat. The goal of the monument was to commemorate the Egyptians who died in the War of Attrition and the October War. 1973. It is worth noting that the same site was chosen as the burial place for President Sadat after his assassination in October 1981.
