Villa Jovis
Villa Jovis is the remains of a huge Roman palace built by Emperor Tiberius in 27 AD. It is the largest villa on the island among twelve other villas. It is located in the northeast of the island on top of the Monte Tiberio hill, at an altitude of 334 m, which makes it the second highest peak in Capri. This location made the villa a destination for tourists in Capri due to its charming view of the sea and the picturesque natural features. The villa is also surrounded by many green areas planted with tall trees and colorful flowers, in addition to the presence of many ancient statues and sculptures distributed throughout the place.
