Wadi Araba Desert

The vast Wadi Araba desert is part of the Great Rift Valley that extends from Aqaba to the Dead Sea, and is characterized by its landscapes of red sand as far as the eye can see, with a number of locals distributed in small villages in the area. A number of tourist agencies in Aqaba offer tours in this desert, as you can tour it on foot, in a jeep, or even on the back of a horse or camel. Enjoy the tranquility of this uninhabited desert while wandering among the sand dunes and exotic rock formations or camping in the desert for the night and visiting the Bedouin camps.
