Wat Arun

The historic Wat Arun, known locally as Wat Ching, is located on the western (Thonburi) bank of the Chao Phraya River and is one of the most stunning temples in Bangkok not only because of its riverside location but also because the design is very different from other temples you can visit in the Thai capital; Dubbed the Temple of Dawn, the temple partly consists of brightly decorated towers and stands majestically above the water. This landmark should be included in your Bangkok itinerary.
