Wat Phnom Temple
Wat Phnom Temple is located on top of a hill covered with trees at an altitude of 27 meters. According to legend, the first pagoda was built on this site in 1373 AD to house four Buddha statues. The main entrance to the temple is represented by a large staircase guarded by lions, and to the west of it there is a huge stupa containing the ashes of the king Ponhea Vat, it also contains a smiling statue of Madame Penh, and to the north there is a shrine dedicated to Pria Chau, who is particularly respected by the Vietnamese.
