Wat Phrathat Doi Tung
Wat Phratat Doi Tung is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Chiang Rai. It is a Buddhist temple located on the top of Mount Doi Tung, approximately 2000 meters above sea level. It was built in the 10th century with two subsequent restorations in the 13th century by King King Mengrai and built in the 20th century by the revered monk Khru Ba Siwichai, it is believed to contain the left collarbone of Lord Buddha, attracting devout Buddhists from all over Thailand, Laos and Myanmar.
