Wellington Botanic Garden
Wellington Botanic Garden displays a wide range of flowers, trees, plant life and wildlife from New Zealand and the world. The oldest tree in the park is more than 200 years old, and there are trees in the group dating back to 1860. It has been classified as a garden of national importance by the Royal New Zealand Institute of Horticulture. The garden contains a large Victorian-style glass house and there is a large children's play area , and a duck pond. There are monthly tours during fall-spring (the park is closed at night). There are large sculptures throughout the park by artists such as Henry Moore, Andrew Drummond and Chris Booth.
