Windsor Castle

Windsor Castle has served as a royal home for more than 900 years and is still considered the largest inhabited castle in the world, with the Queen using it both as a private weekend home and as the official royal residence where she undertakes certain official duties. The castle is also a popular visitor attraction, as many parts of it are open to the public, and while its ancient rotunda houses the royal archives and royal portrait collection, the printing room and royal library contain precious paintings, prints, manuscripts and books from the royal collection.
