The Yakutia School is one of the many schools that characterize the city of Erzurum, which was built in the year 1310 AD by Prince Haji Jamal al-Din Yaqout, during the reign of Ilhanli, the ruler of Olcaytu State. This school is the largest among the schools with a closed courtyard, iwan and portico in Anatolia, and it is one of the few examples that have preserved its existence until today, with its unique decorations and inscriptions, which is visited by thousands of tourists, both local and foreign, every year.
