Yumuktepe Mound
Yumuktepe Hill is located on the outskirts of the Turkish city of Mersin, and it is considered one of the oldest settlements in Anatolia, dating back to 7000 BC, when it hosted many civilizations on its summit, which still remain until now, and which was called the "cradle of civilizations." The hill is one of the most important archaeological historical sites in the country, as it contains the remains of valuable antiquities dating back decades ago. Here, archaeologists discovered a structure with a 4,500-year-old jar and many remains of utensils and food excavations inside, in addition to ornaments and gold jewelry.
