The Zimapan Dam, also known as the Fernando Hiriart Balderrama Dam, was constructed on the Moctezuma River about 15 km southwest of Zimapan in the state of Hidalgo, Mexico. The primary purpose of the dam is to produce hydroelectric power and it serves a 292 megawatt power plant with water. The site of the dam is characterized by the beauty of the surrounding nature. They are stunning views that you will not be able to look away from.
