Zincirli Mosque

One of the many historical monuments that you can visit and see in the Ulus district of Ankara, the Zengerli Mosque, whose construction dates back to the mid-17th century, can be considered as the mosque built by Shah of Islam Mehmet Emin (Şeyhülislam Mehmet Emin). The mosque is characterized by its distinctive architectural design, in which Ankara stone was used. There is a two-storey school in the courtyard of the mosque, to provide religious teachings and centers for memorizing the Holy Quran.
