Zubaida Canal

The spring of Zubaydah’s water is one of the beautiful archaeological sites and monuments in Makkah and Al-Mukarramah, which is famous for its interesting story. It is said that Zubaydah, the wife of the caliph Harun al-Rashid, built this spring after her trip to Hajj, as she felt the need of the pilgrims and passers-by from this region for water, so she built this spring to supply water. Travelers and pilgrims with water, and despite the dryness of the water in this eye, it still attracts many visitors interested in monuments and prominent historical sites due to the complexity of the system and the skill of design that existed in the past.
