Zubara Fort

The historic Al Zubarah Fort is one of the distinctive monuments of the city of Al Shamal, located in the old historic town of Al Zubarah, located on the northwest coast of the Qatari city of Al Shamal. The fort was built in 1938 AD, with the aim of monitoring the western coast of the State of Qatar, and later it was converted as a headquarters for the border guards, and in 1986 AD, it was converted into a regional museum for the antiquities of the city of Zubarah. The castle has a different and distinctive architectural design, as it includes four tall towers decorated in a striking manner, distributed on the corners of the castle, one of which is rectangular in shape with beautiful edges based on triple slits, and the rest are circular in shape.
