Museum of Education – The Museum of Education was established in 1974 as an educational and cultural research institution. It is concerned with researching, collecting, researching and promoting cultural values related to educational development in Bulgaria. It is the only museum of its kind in Europe with its permanent exhibition on the history of education in Bulgaria from the ninth century until today. It is located in The western wing of the 1st high school “Aprilov”, whose building was declared a cultural monument in 1979, the museum’s exposition is located on an area of 435 square meters, including 4 halls and 4 restored archaeological rooms, and presents the relationship between the Bulgarian school and the social, economic and cultural development of the country through the centuries.
