Acropolis of Rhodes

On the western edge of the city of Rhodes, and specifically on top of the hill of Ayios Stephanos, lies the Acropolis of Rhodes, which consists of a huge area that includes sacred places, large temples, public buildings, and underground places of worship dating back to the Hellenistic and Late Hellenistic periods (300-200 BC). The Acropolis of Rhodes is one of the most interesting archaeological sites on the island of Rhodes. It is located near the city and surrounded by wonderful landscapes all around. It is a favorite jogging and walking place for the locals.
