Ala Bridge

The Ala Bridge is a single-eye bridge with a length of 19.65 meters, still in use today, and it began to be used in the fourteenth century. The bridge is an architectural marvel that includes a floodwater drainage chamber on the eastern side of the bridge, and the main arch structure is meticulously crafted from solid travertine materials. Today, the bridge is one of the distinctive architectural masterpieces of the city of Mersin, as the architecture is evident in this wonderful design.
