Description of the place
Almodovar Gate is one of the most famous historical tourist destinations in Cordoba, and it is part of the old city walls, and it dates back to the fourteenth century when Christians rebuilt and fortified the old Islamic walls. It was restored in 1802, and it can be reached from Cairuán Street, which is located next to Cordoba Palace, which is the only remaining gate of the nine gates built by Abd al-Rahman I of Cordoba (Abd al-Rahman I).
