Alpine Zoo Innsbruck
At the foot of the Nordkette above the rooftops of Innsbruck, the capital of the province of Tyrol, is the Alpine Zoo at an altitude of 750 metres, which houses about 2,000 animals of about 150 alpine species on an area of just over 4 hectares in natural areas, terrariums and aquariums. No other zoo in the world displays such a full range of wild animals from the Alpine region, and this is what gives this park the accolade of distinction.
